The Art of Susan Unger – Book Design
Susan Unger, a visionary textile artist who has lived and worked on Menorca for over 50 years, brings together selected pieces from her archive to form an exquisite visual tapestry of textiles, clothing, and the landscapes that inspired them. Her art is rooted in a deep observation of nature. Over the years, she has developed a slow, artisanal approach to fashion, shaped by the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, Mediterranean simplicity, and an intuitive relationship with craft. Her clothing is designed to be worn, loved, repaired, and worn again.
‘The Art of Susan Unger’ is set against the evocative backdrop of Menorca. This 420-page visual journey spans Unger’s creations from the 1970s to the 2000s. With the help of stylist Carine Vyfeyken, the story unfolds in a compelling blend of photographs, reflections, and musings.
Printed using a UV offset technique, the result is vivid, bold color across three different paper types and formats. The book is housed in a hard linen cover and contains over 750 full-color illustrations.
Published in both English and Spanish.
